The Ten Most Visited Sites

I’ve never thought that Facebook is not on my list. I also surprised that I am more technical than I thought. Anyway, this list is just a summary of my browser’s history and I, intentionally, count  visit to those sites. Sounds like I have nothing to do but I have found it was really fun!

I’ve arranged the list from 1 for being the most and 10 for being the less but still stand as the top ten visited sites of my version. Again, the list has nothing to do with my current employment at Yahoo so you’ll see an honest result as other sites will come up at the list.

Here we go:

1. Android Developers

Every time I launch my browser, I’ll end up typing this site almost automatically. It seems pretty obvious as I currently doing an Android development and taking a lot of interest in the technology.

2. Yahoo! Mail

You might guess. It’s email. Life can’t be this fun without it.

3. Google Search

I like bookmark. It keeps me remember the link when I’m offline. But when it comes to online, Google is my bookmark.

4. Yahoo! Indonesia

Local news with rich content. It’s not just an article but also enrich with photos, videos, and many links to many interesting stories.

5. Yahoo! Developer Network

YQL is still my best shot. Sometimes tweaking a little on Yahoo! PlaceFinder. Currently reading Yahoo! Messenger API.

6. Stack Overflow

Q&A sites for developers.

7. Github

Not an active users (who always commit twice per week). I just looking around reading some good code and see the perspective from other developers. I may use the code too (and giving the original developer a credit).

8. Google Code

As the site say, this is one of my playground.

9. Wikipedia

Read anything. Science, biology, history, math, biography, technology, anything. But there’s one topic I always avoid for sure. Politics.

10. Yahoo! Koprol

You might be surprised why I put Koprol on the last of my list. I have many reasons but the most simple explanation is, I don’t quite much login into Koprol using site as I already have a Koprol for Android app (Beta version but will be released soon).

So, tell me if you’re surprised that Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Friendster are not on my list. As the same as Koprol, they all already have their own app for Android except for Friendster. And if you ask me why I didn’t use Friendster, it’s simply because I have lost my password and it’s really ‘heavy’ to click the “Forgot Password” link.
